The background of MindState is firmly rooted in an academic environment. Both founders are part of, and have strong connections with, important educational institutions. Most participants and contributors are associated with influential schools and universities.

Each project begins by immersing ourselves in the context- specific challenges of an organization, conducting deep research on organizational pain points, and generating human-centric prompts which frame problems as a starting point for a possible solution. We make sure that teams have access to data that will give them the real information needed to understand the context of each challenge.

We believe in the power of academically driven research, however, combined with the mindset of designers to come up with accurate and unique responses to given challenges. True design thinking helps us to better understand the problem but also explore a human-centric design methodology for the potential outcomes.
We bring together: students (MBA, Entrepreneur, Innovation, Computer Science, Engineering) from top-tier universities, and team up with designers, developers, entrepreneurs and high-level professionals from the participating organization to establish multidisciplinary teams.
Collaboration is key to the process and we believe strongly that the knowledge of many can achieve much more than any one individual can. This synergy lies at the core of all our work.

Our goal is to help find the un-met needs within a project. The problems that have not been addressed yet, or inadequately resolved.
Eventually the process culminates into a highly-intense and multi-day Ideation Sprint, often organized as a competition. At the finale of the sprint, teams present their proposals to judges who are experts in the subject matter, or in start up innovation.
Afterwards, MindState remains involved to help guide select teams from initial outcomes to an actual start up.
